- Last Rites Held For William F. Eggert
GASPORT, June 21 - Funeral services for William F. Eggert, Bunker. Hill Rd., one of the best known residents of this area, were held at the Zion Lutheran church, Cayuga Dr., Niagara Falls. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Lawrence Herfurth officiated. Miss Sylvia Eggert. niece of the deceased, sang a solo with her mother, Mrs. Adelia Eggert, accompanying. Mr. Eggert was born March 12, 1887, at Bergholtz. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church for 40 years. He also attended the Holy Ghost Parochial school and was confirmed in the Holy Ghost church. On July 24, 1926, he was united in marriage to Ella Wienke, by the Rev. Edward Grabau, formerly of Walmore. Mr. Eggert formerly resided in. Niagara Falls, LaSalle Section and was an active member of the Zion Lutheran church, Cayuga Dr., lor 25 years. He retired .several years ago, after being employed at the Carborundum Co. for almost 40 years. He served in the Infantry in World War I for two years, and was one of the last veterans in Niagara County to return home from active duty. He is survived by his wife, Ella Eggert; one daughter, Mrs. Anthony Miller, one grandson, Stanley Miller, at home, and is a brother of Mrs. Frank Dutton and Mrs. Carl Behrent, Tonawanda: Mrs. Roland Bruss, Bergholtz and the late Mrs. Arnold Krull and the late Edward H. Eggert. He was the son of the late Anthony and Albertine Eggert. Bearers were the following nephews of the deceased; Lee Bruw, Norman Dauphin, Francis Dutton, Harold Wienke, Herbert Wienke and Walter Wienke
