- January 17, 2014 Helen Storey Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Fri Jan 17, 2014, 03:38 PM EST NORTH TONAWANDA — Helen (nee Ellman) Storey, age 87, of North Tonawanda, on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Crestwood Health Care. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helena (nee Zastrow) Ellman. Helen was a former Deerwood Women's President's Cup Golf Champion and a founder of the Lutheran Mixed Couples Bowling League. She had been employed by Dr. Harry Bylebyl and also Dr. Robert Schopp physicians and also by Thomas Turtle Optical in North Tonawanda. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William M. Storey; two sons, Thompson (Caroline) Storey of Nashville, TN and Peter (Barbara) Storey of Lockport; three grandchildren, Christopher, Rachel and Madison Storey; and was the sister of the late Freibert, Elton and Reuben Ellman. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Tuesday in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St., in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. The Rev. Keith Knupp will officiate. A private interment will be in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
