Marjorie E. Graves Metcher , 76, of 18 W. Second St. died Sunday at her home. A native of Vernon, Mrs. Metcher lived in Oneida Castle since 1939. She retired in 1981 after seven years as a toll booth operator with the New York State Thruway Authority and previously was employed with the former Harry F. Naumann Insurance Agency of Oneida. She was a graduate of Sherrill High School and Excelsior Business School of Utica. Mrs. Metcher was a member of Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church and treasurer of its Presbyterian Women. She was a member and past noble grand of the Vernon Chapter, OES. Surviving are her husband, Howard F.; two sons, Clifton of Charlotte, N.C., and Richard of Thailand; a daughter, Judith Metcher , at home; a brother, Norman Graves of Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 7 p.m. today in Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Donna Kay Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Oneida Castle Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church. Fiore Funeral Home, Oneida, has charge of arrangements.
