BUFFALO - Ralph E. Belling, of the Town of Pendleton, NY, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011, at Millard Fillmore Hospital Gates Circle, Buffalo, NY. He was born in Amherst, NY, on September 25, 1922, the son of John and Elsie (Wolf) Belling.
Mr. Belling grew up and had worked on his family’s farm for over 28 years before becoming a mixer with the Durez Chemical Co. in North Tonawanda for 17 years, before retiring in 1984. He delivered food for the Interfaith Food Pantry in North Tonawanda and was a member of the Wendleville Senior Citizens. Mr. Belling enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his pets.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna F. (Hartman) Belling; two sons, Roger J. (Rebecca) Belling of Wheatfield and Roy D. (Patti) Belling of Sanborn; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Kevin; one great-granddaughter, Ella. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Belling was the brother of the late Naomi Belling and Ruth Wendt.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, 322 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY, with the Rev. Devie Ellis officiating. Memorials may be made in his name to the St. Martin's Children’s Bell Chorus or to the NYS Federation of Home Bureau, Inc. Interment in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst, NY.
