Dickenson, 64, of Sanborn, NY, passed into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior at Schoellkopf Health Center in Niagara Falls on January 20, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born in Newark, NY, on April 17, 1958Harry was the foster son of his mother and father, the late Edna and Wallace Pfohl and was raised on their dairy farm in Niagara County. He is survived by a sister Carol (late Gilbert) Walck as well as a niece and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was a lifelong member of St Peter’s Lutheran Church where he often served as an usher and helped keep attendance records for both the church and Sunday school. He attended St. Peter’s Lutheran school and was a graduate of the Niagara Wheatfield class of 1977. After graduation, Harry had worked at various local businesses as well as helping on the family farm.Harry loved being a statistician for his Niagara Wheatfield sports teams and stayed in touch with many of the players and coaches. Harry enjoyed attending local sporting events and most Saturdays during the football season you would find him at the NW football field watching his Falcons. Being able to attend these events was made possible with the help of his good friend Brian Hapeman. Harry also enjoyed being a volunteer statistician and scorekeeper for the Lutheran Basketball League for over 45 years, it was his life.Harry often spoke about his love for music, especially German and Polka music. Harry had been a member of the Bergholz German Band and the American Legion Sikora Post Band of North Tonawanda where he played the drums for many years. Harry also took pride in participating in the Western New York Challenger Sports League’s bowling division which he attended for over 10 years.Service will be held on Tuesday (January 24) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kurt Jensen officiating. Memorials may be made in Harry’s name to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or St. Peter’s Lutheran School, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132. Arrangements have been made through the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME.
