Robert F. Mellenthien, of Phillip Street, North Tonawanda, a truck driver, died Thursday (Jan. 9, 1997) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. He was 63.
He drove a truck for H.J. Mye Lumber Co. in North Tonawanda
Mellenthien was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda and Teamsters Local 449.
He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, the former Caroline A. Bajorek; five daughters, Deborah Beranger of Grand Island, Sue Gentzke of Peachtree, Ga., Kathy LeBar of North Tonawanda, and Sandy Davis and Sally Grzeskowiak, both of the City of Tonawanda; his mother, Leona Mellenthien of North Tonawanda; a sister, Evelyn Smith of Cheektowaga; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. Burial will be in Acacia Park-Resthaven Cemetery, Pendleton.
