NORTH TONAWANDA The
marriage of Doris Marie 8hamrock,
daughter of Mrs. Thomas Lewis, of
Rule road, and Francis H. Proefrock,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Proefrock,
of Payne avenue, was solemnlred
Saturday, May 24, at 9:30
o'clock, at the parsonage of St,
Prancls church. Rev. Father Welsmantel
officiating. The attendants
were Miss Shirley Shamrock, cousin
of the bride, who acted as bridesmaid,
and Mr. Warren Proefrock,
who was his brother's best man.
The bride wore a white dress with
blue Jacket and white accessories
and a corsage of bride roses. Miss
Shamrock wore a similar dress with
yellow Jacket and white accessories,
with a corsage of yellow roses.
In the evening.- Mr. and Mrs.
j Thomas Lewis entertained at a va-
I rlety shower In their honor. Cards

prizes awarded to Mrs. William
Sloeckel. Mr. Edwin Schroeder, Mrs.
Edna Kyler, Mrs. Joe Meyers, Mr.
Frank Luescher, Mrs. Ray Olskey,
Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Miss Beulah
Franks, Mr. Clifford Holmes, Mrs.
Charles Stoeckel. Mrs. Esther Lindaman
and Mr. Ray Knapp, with a
guest prize to the bride.
Luncheon was served to 72 guests.
Decorations featured a wedding cake
in the shape of a bell decorated
with silver leaves and a bride and
bridegroom' also bouquets of Per-
dian lilacs and iris. Favors were
little silver and white cups filled
with candy hearts. the bride re-
ceived numerous and beautiful gifts.
Later the bride and bridegroom
left for Watkins Glen and Thousand
Islands and will return by way of
the Adirondacks. Upon the re-
turn the couple will be at home in
River road.
On Saturday evening, May 17,
Mrs. Ether Lindaman, Mrs. Joseph
Meyers and Mrs. Roland Shamrock
entertained at a red and white
kitchen and pantry shower at mrs.
Shamrock's home, in Geneva street,
and on Saturday, May 31, Mrs. Lee
Morgan and Mrs. George McMullen
entertained for the bride at a linen
and personal shower at Mrs. Mor-
gan's home, 1155 West avenue, Buf-
falo.
