St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran
Church was the setting for the
marriage of Miss Shirley Carol
Voss, daughter of Mrs. Carl Voss,
Stephenson Ave. and the late Mr.
Voss, to Cpl. Roland Meyers, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Meyers,
South Ave.
The double ring ceremony, at
which the Rev. Edward Schultz
officiated, took place in front of
the altar decorated with white
gladioli, on Aug. 26. Mrs. Verena
Woodman was organist.
Given in marriage by Mr. Elwin
Ernst, Newfane, the bride was
gowned in white satin and lace
fashioned with high neckline and
long lace sleeves which extended
to points over the wrists. Her skirt,
which was gathered at the hips,
fell to a cathedral-length train and
her fingertip veil of illusion was
caught to a satin skull cap trimmed
with pearls. The bride carried her
own lace covered Bible topped with
a white sweetheart rose and carnation
corsage and a small cascade of
white satin streamers.
The bride's sister, Miss Diana
Voss, maid of honor, was gowned
in yellow lace and tulle and carried
a colonial bouquet of yellow roses,
yellow carnations and white pompons.
Miss Donna Meyers, sis-
ter of the bridegroom, was junior
bridesmaid was gowned in light
blue tulle over taffeta and carried
a miniature colonial bouquet of
deep pink roses and blue pompons.
Miss Shirley Wasmund, brides-
maid, appeared in shell pink tulle
over taffeta, caarried a colonial
bouquet of deep pink roses, pink
carnations and white pompons.
Miss Shirley Meyers, sister of the
bridegroom, was attired in orchid
tulle over taffeta, carried a colon-
ial bouquet of deep pink roses,
yellow carnations and golden pom-
pons. Miss Barbara Veihdeffer,
bridesmaid, was gowned in turquoise
tulle over taffeta and carried
a colonial bouquet of red
roses, deep pink carnations and
white pompons. All attendants
wore tulle headbands, matching the
color of their gowns.
The best man was Mr. Charles
Owens. The ushers were Mr. Paul
Kuder. Mr. Andrew Ortner and
Mr. Robert Schultz.
The mother of the bride chose
a powder blue lace dress accented
with navy blue accessories. The
mother of the bridegroom was
seen in a light blue lace dress with
matching jacket, small blue hat
and white accessories. Each wore
a corsage of white roses.
The reception was held after
the ceremony at the home of the
bride. The bride's table was centered
with a four-tier wedding cake,
flanked with white tapers and arrangements
of white baby's breath
and green fern.
The bride departed on her wedding
trip wearing a blue suit with
Ljht blue accessories. The corsage
from her Bible completed her
outfit. The couple traveled to
Toronto. Ont. Mrs. Meyers will
remain at home, while Cpl. Meyers,
who will be discharged in November,
is stationed in Washington,
D. C.
