The marriage of Miss Leona M.
lahr, daughter of Mrs. Frank Sahr
of 274 Niagara Falls Blvd and the
Rev. Victor P. Hoyer, son of Rev.
and Mrs. Otto H. Hoyer, Alva,
Oklahoma, was solemnized in St.
Paul's Ev. Lutheran church on
Wednesday, May 30th at 7 p.m.
The Rev. R. E. Weller, brother-inlaw
of the groom of Cleveland,
Ohio, and Rev. F. A. Hinners officiated
at the candlelight service.
Fifteen minutes of organ music
played by Mr. A. F. Nuoffer preceeded
the double ring ceremony.
Immediately preceetLng the Wedding
March, Mr. Alvin F. Pagels
sang 'The Lord's Prayer", by
Malotte and before the ceremony,
Miss Dorothy Krull aang "O Perfect
Love". Following* the ceremony
Miss Dorothy Krull and Mr.
Alvin Pagels sang 'Where Thou
Goest."
The bride, given iu marriage by
her brother Edward, wore a gown
fashioned with white satin bodice
with sweetheart neckline, edged in
seed pearls, long sleeves coming
to a point over the wrists, and a
full net skirt with net train. Her
finger tip veil of illusion fell from
a tiara of orange blossoms and she
carried a shower bouquet of lilies
of the valley centered with an
orchid.
Miss Phyliss Schultz, cousin of
the bride, the maid of honor, and
Miss Lois Strong, bridesmaid,
wore gowns of pink and blue re-
respectively, fashioned with satin
bodices and full net skirts. Both
carried bouquets of pink roses and
mixed flowers.
The groom was attended by
Melvin Dexheimer as best man
and Robert Jaenecke as groomsman
Wallace Fritz and Oscar
Muck were ushers.
Mrs. Frank Sahr, mother of the
bride, wore a blue print dress and
a corsage of pink rose buds.
Reception for 100 guests was
held at the St. Paul's Parish Hall
where the decorations consisted of
snapdragons and spirea and the
hall was decorated throughout in
white. Stately candles adorned the
tables and a wedding cake adorned
with a miniature bride and
groom graced the head table.
Rev. and Mrs. Hoyer have taken
a short wedding uip For travel,
the bride selected a gold colored
with white accessories. Upon
their return they will take up
residence at Fillmore, New York.
Rev. Hoyer is a graduate of
Concordia Theological Seminary,
St. Louis, Mo. and has taken the
pastorate at St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran
Church in Fillmore.
Out of town guests included:
Rev. and Mrs. R. E. Weiler and
son George of Cleveland, Ohio,
and the Rev. E. W Krentz of
Wellsville, N. Y.
