WHEATFIELD, June 22.-A lovely
wedding was solemnized Saturday
afternoon, June 15, at 4 o'clock in
St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran
church, Niagara Falls boulevard,
when Miss Evelyn A. Pagels, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Pagels,
of 509 Falls boulevard, became
the bride of Mr. Otis F. Wollenberg,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wollenberg,
of Town line road. North
Tonawanda,. the Rev. Frederick A.
Hlnners officiating.
- Preceding the ceremony, Arnold
F. Nuoffer gave an organ recital and
Alvin F. Pagels sang, "Today* O
Lord, We at Thine Altar Stand."
During the ceremony Mr. Pagels
sang, "O Perfect Love," and "The
Lord's Prayer."
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a 'gown with a
white satin bodice'and full skirt of
net, falling into a train. Her finger
tip veil of illusion was crowned
with a halo of orange blossoms. She
wore a double strand of pearls, the
gift of the bridegroom. Her shower
bouquet was of white roses and
snapdragons.
Mrs. Verna May, matron of honor,
was attired in a deep rose chiffon
gown, with fitted bodice, long
sleeves and full skirt. She carried
a bouquet* of red roses and white
snapdragons; and wore in her hair
a tiara .of roses.
The bridesmaids, Mrs. Eleanor
Pagels and Mrs. Helen Pagels, wore
identical gowns of pink marquisette
with fitted bodice and full skirt
They carried bouquets of pink roses,
white and pink snapdragons, and
wore a tiara of roses in their hair.
Elmer Pagels attended the bridegroom
as best man, and the ushers
were Sherwood Lorenz and Raymond
May. ' .
The bride's mother. Mrs. Pagels,
wore a black and white mesh dress,
while the bridegroom's mother, Mrs.
Wollenberg, chose a grey crepe
dress. Each wore a corsage of roses
and sweetpeas.
After the ceremony a wedding
dinner was served at St. Paul's
parish hall. In the evening a reception
was given at the home of
the bride with 150 guests present.
Mr. and Mrs. Wollenberg left for
a western wedding trip and thereafter
will be at home at 509 Falls
boulevard.
