- William Duwe Deceased
William A. Duwe, 82, of 11406 Maple Ridge Road, died at the Medina Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, having been in ill health for the past two years. Mr. Duwe was born in Wolcottsville, June 26, 1897, the son of Albert and Louise Ribbeck Duwe, and he had been engaged in farming, trucking and carpentry in the Medina
area. He was a veteran of WW I, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps in France.
He is survived by a brother, Carl Duwe of Cleveland, Ohio; two half-brothers, Samuel Duwe of Barker and Gordon Duwe of Lockport; a half sister, Mrs. Wilbur (Ethel) Jolls of Lockport, and several nephews and nieces. Relatives and friends may call at the Houseman Funeral Home, 228 Park Ave., Friday (7-9). The Rev. Ronald Haefer, pastor of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate at an 11 a.m. service on Saturday, with burial in West Ridgeway Cemetery.
