BURT, Feb. 7.A pretty wedding
was solemnized In the Newfane Baptist
church, Saturday afternoon at 3
o'clock, when Lena Eleanor, daughter
of.Mr. and Mrs. Wm. S. Bobzien
of Burt, was united in marriage to
Lester Albert Mayer, son of Albert
Mayer., of Sanborn.
The ceremony was performed by
the Rev. A. P. Goodwin, while a profusion
of palms and pastel shaded
spring flowers formed the church
decorations. Miss Malsle Flynn rendered
"Alphine Love Story" by Petre
and "I Love You Truly" on the organ.
The bride, nho was given In marriage
by her father, wore a white satin
dress trimmed with satin lace. The
three quartered length sleeves were
T puffed above the elbow and a long
: tulle veil fastened to a fitted cap completed
her attire. She carried a bouquet
of pale yellow rases, lily of the
valley and fems tied with white tulle.
Miss Neva Bobzien of 'Buffalo. a
twin sister, was the maid of honor
and her gown was beige crepe fashioned
with capo effect sleeves of lace,
a beige hat and slippers to match.
She carried a bouquet of pink tea
roses tied with pink tulle. Howard
Mayer of Sanborn, a cousin of the
groom, acted as best man. The ushers
were Burdette Bobzien, brother of
the bride, and Edward Mayer, brother
of the groom. Immediately following
the ceremony a reception to
125 guests was held at the bride's
home. The bride's table, with covers
for fourteen, was centered with a five
tier wedding cake topped with 8
miniature bride and groom and spring
flowers of pastel shades, seated were

"Albert Mayer, Neva and Ruth Bobzien,
Mr. and Mrs. Lester' Bobzien,

Mrs. Bobzien, mother of the bride,
was gowned In black and white crepe
dresa with bat sleeves and a handsome
pearl belt. A sister, Miss Ruth
Bobzien of Sherburne, wore a black
crepe dress with puffed sleeves of embroidered
net and Mrs. Lester Bobzien,
a sister-in-law, had a green crepe
dress with puffed sleeves.
The bride presented cuff links to
her maid of honor, who is a nurse at
the Millard Fillmore hospital. Buffalo.
The groom's gift to the bride was a
"rystal necklace; to the best man and
Ushers, the gifts were neckties and the
musician a gold piece.
As a going away costume the bride
wore a midnight blue heavy crepe
dress, puffed sleeves of beads and
beaded yoke, .black hat, shoes, gloves
and a black coat with a fox collar.
After a brief wedding trip to Washington,
D. C. Mr. and Mrs. Mayer will
reside at the Bobzien home on the
Coomer road.
