Miss Pope to Wed
Robert Wagner
The marriage of Miss Jo Anne
Pope, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.
W. Pope, Edgewood drive, Town of
Niagara, to Mr. Robert Wagner, will
take place this afternoon at 5 p.m.
In the Presbyterian church. Military
road. Town of Niagara. The Rev.
William McFarland will officiate.
Mr. Wagner is the son of Mr. John
Wagner, Elsa place.
The bride will be given in marriage
by her father, and will be
gowned in white organdy with satin
underskirt. The fitted bodice will be
fashioned in tucks, and ornamented
with baby breath. Her shoulderlength
lace veil will be held in place
by a crown of lilies of the valley.
Mrs. John Baker, sister of the
bride and her matron of honor, will
be attired in a rose-colored gown
and will carry yellow roses. Miss
Helen Wagner, sister of the bridegroom,
will be bridesmaid, wearing
a blue gown and carrying yellow
roses.
Best man is S/Sgt. George R.
Lawrence. USAF, while ushering
duties will be performed by Mr.
Floyd Pope, brother of the bridegroom,
and Sgt. Glen Cooper, United
States Army.
Mrs. Pope will wear a blue net
dress with pink accessories, and a
corsage of red and white roses. A
dinner for members of the immediate
families will follow the ceremony
at the Pope home.
At 8 o'clock this evening a reception
will be held at the Farmhouse
restaurant, Packard and Forter roads.
Decorations will include a three-tiered
white wedding cake and mixed
spring flowers.
