Pauline A. Uli, 91 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on March 26, 2017. Born January 19, 1926 in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Marchitelli) Uli.
Pauline was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School, class of 1944 and worked at various temporary jobs in Niagara Falls. In December of 1948, she moved to Washington, DC, where she worked as a secretary for the US Naval Department. Upon the death of her mother, she returned home and worked for Singmater and Breyer Engrs, Julian O’Connor Accountants, the former St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Rectory as secretary for 20 years, and St. Joseph School as secretary for 28 years until its closing in 2003. Pauline was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church and member of the; Ladies of Charity, Our Children of Mary Sodality, Madonna Soccorsso Society, St. Joseph Council and was a Eucharist Minister until health prevented her from continuing.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by three sister, Isabel J. (late Willard) Burt, R. Eleanor Uli, Anita (late Russell) George and also many aunts and uncles of the Uli and Marchitelli families. Her survivors include nieces and nephews; Gerald K. (Rita) Burt, Evelyn Satriano, Paul J. Burt, Russ J. (Carol) George as well as great-nieces and nephews; Beverly DeLong, Audrey DeLong, Elisa (Justin) Rague and Alex George, first cousins; Shirley (late Bob) Darin, Dr. Jerome (Bonnie) March, Leon Grubka, Gennaro Mancuso, Carol (late Michael) Malvestuto, George LaMonte, Quain LaMonte, as well as many 2nd and 3rdcousins and her Godchildren; Dr. Angela Galdini, of Virginia and Reynold Galdini of Wilcox, PA, Nanette (Mark) Baran-Roffle of Gurnee, IL, Barbara (Ernest) Baran-Centeno of San Antonio, TX, good friends; Eleanor Baran, Yolanda Curcione, Angelica DiCamillo, Mary (William) Ryan, Sam Gentile and Angelo Massaro.
Pauline asks to be remembered in your prayers, and also for forgiveness to all she may have injured knowingly or unknowingly throughout her life, in thought, word or deed.
At her request, there will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph’s Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY at a date and time to be announced. Entombment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Flowers are graciously declined, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by M.J.
