NORTH TONAWANDA — Jean E. Werth, age 92, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thanksgiving day, November 22, 2012. She was the daughter of the late William and Lena Falhdieck. She was a life-long resident of North Tonawanda until 1999, when she and husband, Ken moved to Gasport to live with daughter, Gail and son-in-law, David.
In her younger days she worked at Buffalo Bolt, inspecting parts used in wartime aircraft. She also worked for Platters Chocolates when it was located on East Felton St. After the war she worked at city hall processing soldiers back home.
She was an avid bowler, bowling every Tuesday morning with dear friends. Most of all she loved bowling with husband, Ken and dear friends, Michael and Linda Sonnen. She also loved her two Pinochle Clubs.
She was predeceased by husbands, Earl Graf and Kenneth Werth; and brother, William Fahldieck; late sisters and brother-in-law, Helena (Charles) Miller, Henrietta (Emerson) Wendel; sister-in-law of the late Edwin and Ruth Schroeder and Vernon Pankow.
She will be sadly missed by daughter, Gail (David) Foster and son, Ted (Debbie) Werth; also her grandchildren, Ted (Amber) Lasmeister, Kari (Chad) Owen, Kelly (John) Chilcott, Jeffrey Werth, Jill (Nick) Schultz and Melissa Werth. Most of all she is survived by her great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Samantha, Erika, Anna, Averie, Jackson, Lucas, Lily and Brody. Jean is also survived by two sisters, Grace Pankow and Dorothy Aiken; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Private graveside services will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 6965 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Lockport, NY 14094. Guest register available at frettholdfuneralhome.com.
