HOLLEY — Norman E. Thom, age 87, a Faithful Servant of the Lord, died May 18, 2012. He was predeceased by his daughter, Gretchen Thom Coleman, brother-in-law, William Daunce. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma Gath Thom; son, David (Debi) Thom of Byron; daughter, Laura Amor (Thomas Ryan) of Brockport; grandchildren, Rachel (Garett) Schalge of Hamlin, Joseph Amor of Raleigh, NC, Matthew (Kris) Thom of Holley, Martha (John) Thom of Stafford, Staff Sgt. David (Danielle) Thom of Byron, Rosalee (Jeremy) Norred of Phoenix AZ; ten great-grandchildren, Caiden, Esten, Ava, Leah, Tanner, Bella, Mia, Peyton, Nick, Noah; sister, Mildred Daunce of Lockport.
Norman served in the US Navy during WW II in the Pacific Theater, retired from Eastman Kodak in 1986 and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Greece.
Norman's family will receive friends at Hope Lutheran Church, 1301 Vintage Lane, Greece, NY 14626, MONDAY from 9:00-10:30 AM, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment with full military honors at Hillside Cemetery in Holley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran Church or Hospice of Orleans County, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411.
