Sacred Heart Church in
Niagara Falls was the setting
today of the marriage ceremony
uniting Miss Kathleen Marie
Rountree, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph P. Rountree of 2432
Linwood Ave., Niagara Falls,
and James Paul Walsh, son. of
Mr. and Mrs. David Leo Walsh of
38 Perry St., Auburn.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father. The Rev.
Thomas E. Traverse, cousin of
the bride, officiated. The Rev.
Francis N. Ryan, CM. of Princeton,
N.J. bestowed the papal
blessing. Richard Walsh, brother
of the bridegroom, and Francis
Olscamp were altar boys.
The bride wore a white silk
organza A-line gown with empire
waist, long sheer fitted sleeves
and high collar. Rosepoint lace
accented the neckline, sleeves,
bodice and hemline and was
repeated on the border of the
chapel-length train. A forward
effect of lace, pearls and sequins
held her bouffant veil. She
carried a cascade of pale pink
rosebuds, stephanotis and ivy.
Mrs. Russel Nixon was matron
of. honor. The bridesmaids were
Miss Joan Remaley and Miss
Mary Margaret McCabe.
Best man was Russel Nixon,
and the ushers..were John
Gleason and Patrick Rountree,
brother of the bride.
A reception was held at Hardings
Restaurant, Creek Road,
Youngstown immediately after
the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to New
England, the couple will reside in
Niagara Falls.
