William E. Behrens, 69, of 389
North Transit St., Lockport, a
retired streets department employe,
died this morning (Jan
20, 1967) at Briody Nursing
Home after a long illness.
Born in Lockport on Sept. 3,
1897, he was the son of Charles
and Johanna Linderman Behrens.
Mr. Behrens worked for many
years for the Lockport C i ty
Street Department until ill
health forced his retirement
more than two years ago.
Surviving are two sisters,
Miss Sophia Behrens of Newfane,
Mrs. Emma Holtz of
Lockport; one brother, Carl
Behrens of Olcott and several
nieces and nephews.
Beginning tomorrow, friends
may call at the Prudden A
Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee
St., where funeral services
will be conducted at 1:30
p.m. Monday by the Rev. Victor
Mesenbring, pastor of
Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran
Cemetery.
