Bouquets of white gladioli ami
mixed flowers and seven tiered
candelabra adorned the altar of
Salem Evangelical and Reformed
Church when Miss Myra Irene
Stahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Reuben W. Stahl of 28 Canton
St. became the bride of LeRoy
Freeman Plant, son of Mrs. Joseph
Plant of 41 Chestnut St. The
wedding was performed on Saturday,
Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. with the
Rev. Walter F. Hetzel officiating
at the double ring ceremony.
Before and during the ceremony
Theron Miller sang "At Dawning"
and "The Lord's Prayer" accompanied
by Mrs. Theron Miller at
the organ.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride wore a gown of
white taffeta fashioned with long
sleeves edged in lace and a court
length train. The off-the-shoulder
neckline was outlined with a
ruffle of Chantilly lace. Her fingertip
veil of illusion fell from a
tiara of seed pearls. She carried
a cascade bouquet of white roses
and white chrysanthemums, tied
with white satin ribbon. The dou-
blue strand she wore was a gift of
the bridegroom.
Mrs. Doris Heylmun, sister of
the bride, was matron of honor.
Her gown was of corn-flower blue
taffeta. She wore pink roses in
her hair and carried a bouquet of
matching roses and white chry-
santhemums tied with pink and
satin ribbon.
Reuben Stahl, Jr. attended the
bridegroom as best man. Ushers
were Harry Plant and George
Heylmun.
The bride's mother wore a wine
colored crepe dress with black
accessories and a corsage of yel-
low roses and chrysanthemums.
The bridegroom's mother chose a
blue crepe dress with black ac-
cessories and a similar corsage.
A reception was held at the
home of the bride for 100 guests
where the buffet table was cen-
tered with a tiered wedding cake
encircled with the bouquets of the
bride and her attendant.
Mr. and Mrs. Plant for a
two weeks wedding trip through
the southern and eastern states.
