Stange-Rothenberg
The marriage of Miss Dorothy
Mae Rothenberg, only daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rothenberg,
of 50 Young street, Tonawanda, N.
Y., to Mr. Alfred Stange, son of
Mr. and Mrs. William Stange, Sr.,
of Ward road, was solemnized on
Saturday evening, Oct. 12, at 6:30,
in St. John's Lutheran church, Ward
road, the Rev. J.W. Thiemecke of-
\ficiataing in the presnece of a very
large gathering.
The church was beautifully decorated
with autumn flowers. During
the ceremony Mrs. Lillian Oursling
played the wedding music and Miss
Kathleen Ooodman sang "O. Promise
Me" and "1 Love You Truly."
Given In marriage by her father,
the bride was beautiful in a gown
of white brocaded satin sprinkled
with gold sequins, made with tight
bodice, sweetheart neckline and
trimmed with tinv buttons down the
back, long sleeves coming to a point
at the wrists. Her full skirt was
fashioned with a long circular train
and her veil of illusion fell from a
Juliet cap made with tiny strips of
net caught with orange blossoms.
She carried a bouquet of white roses,
white baby pom poms and baby's
breath.
Mrs Norman Stange was matron
of honor and wore a | o w n of Melba
rose taffeta and carried a bouquet
of Talisman roses and pom poms.
Mrs. William Stange. J r . was maid
of honor and wore a gown of sky
blue taffeta and carried a bouquet
of yelolw roses and pom poms. Lois
Stange. as Junior bridesmaid, wore
agua taffeta and carried a spindle
bouquet of red roses, pom poms and
baby's breath. All wore tiaras of
white pom poms in their hair. Lit-
tle Carole Lee Hockaday, of this
city, flower girl, was dressed in peach
taffeta with matching silk streamers
flowing from her hair and carried
a colonial bouquet.
Mr Norman Stange and Mr. Wll
lia SUnge. Jr. were their brother's!
man and groomsman, respectively.
Mr Rov Hockadav. of this
city, and Mr Benjamin Wolf were
ushers.
Mrs. Rotherberg, mother of the
bride, wore a soldier blue silk crepe
dress with matching accessories,
while Mrs. Stange, mother of the
bridegroom chose a raison silk crepe
dress with matching accessories.
Each wore a corsage of red roses,
white pom poms and baby's breath.
Immediately after the ceremony
the reception at the home of the
bridegroom's parent* was held and
a dinner was served to 100 guests.
Covers were laid for 20 at the bride's
table, which was centered with
beautiful wedding cake,
Out -of-town guests were present
from Buffalo and tills city.
Mr. and Mrs. Stange left for a
short wedding trip and upon their
return will be at home to their
many relatives and friends in Ward
road.
Prenuptials in honor of the bride
were variety showers by Miss Mame
Krause. Mrs. Catherine Krause. Mrs.
Ida Fischer, Mr*. Albert Rothenberg.
Mrs. Judson Angle and Miss
Rose Fuller; pink and blue bedroom
shower, by Mrs. Norman Stange and
Mrs. William Stange, Jr., and a personal
shower by Mrs. Henry Stange
and Mrs. Paul Stange.
