Arlene D. Stieg
Lockport native moved to Oregon in 1989
PHOENIX, Ore, - Arlene D. (Stauder) Stieg, 70, of Phoenix, Oregon, died Monday (May 10, 1993), at the Villa Royal Health Care Center, Medford, Ore. She was born on June 30, 1922, in Lockport,the daughter of Walter, who died in 1967, and Margaret (Yoder) Stauder, who died in 1981. Mrs. Stieg worked on the assembly line for Vapor Corp., Niles, Ill. She married Harold J. Stieg on Aug. 12, 1944, in Niagara Falls. Four years ago, she and her husband moved to the Rogue Valley area of Oregon. Mrs. Stieg enjoyed gardening. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Paul Stieg of Bethel Park, Pa., Roger Stieg of Pickerington, Ohio, and Thomas Stieg of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; two daughters, Janis Shipe of Waynesburg,Pa., and Deborah Hamler of Green Sulphur Springs, W. Va.; two brothers, Raymond Stauder and Walter Stauder Jr.; five sisters, Marian Ames, Geraldine Bumpers, Mary Ellen Parker, Jane Stauder and Joyce Mawhiney, all of Lockport; and nine grandchildren. She was the sister of Donald Stauder, who died in 1976. Services will be held today in Phoenix. Arrangements were by the Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford.
