SANBORN — Mrs. Florence
Hooper Strasburg, 60, of 6170
Ward Road died Tuesday (Sept.
22, 1970) at Lockport Memorial
Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late
Burnet Strasburg who died in
1969.
She was a native of Buffalo
and had resided in Sanborn for
many years. She was a member
of the Holy Ghost Lutheran
Church and the Missionery
League there, and a Red Cross
volunteer in the City of Lockport.
She had worked for the
Niagara Wheatfield School system
as a cafeteria aide for more
than 10 years, and was at one
time manager of the Errick
Road School cafeteria.
She is survived by a son, Roy
L. Hooper of Tuscon, Ariz.;
two daughters, Mrs. Robert
(Doris) Smith of Bergholtz,
and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Laese
of Lockport; her mother, Mrs.
Sophie Vogelmann; five sisters,
Mrs.. George (Lillian) Weisenberger,
Mrs. Freda Burger,
Mrs. Marie Caruso, Mrs. Donald
(Alice) Harlach, all of Buffalo,
and Mrs. Joseph (Mildred)
Gregory of Florida; nine grandchildren,
and several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services will be held
at the Pike and Jones Funeral
Home, Hoover Road, Saturday
at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Albert
W. Bahr of the Holy Ghost
Lutheran Church officiating.
Friends may call from 7 to 9
p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 5
and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
