Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gandt, Eighth St., announce
the engagement of their daughter, Dianne
Elizabeth, to Pvt. Edmund Deschamps, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Deschamps, Seventh St.
"Miss Gandt is a graduate^of Niagara Falls
High School while her fiance graduated from
Bishop Duffy High School. Pvt. Deschamps is
stationed with the U. S. Army at Limestone,
Maine.

MISS DIANNE ELIZABETH GANDT selected a bal-
lerina-length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta for her
wedding to Edmund Deschamps at St. Mary's of the
Cataract Church on Saturday (Jan. 24, 1959) at noon.
°: The daughter of Mrs. Fred Gandt, Eighth St., and
the late Mr, Gandt, was united with the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Deschamps, Seventh St., in a double-ring
ceremony. The Rev. Robert Sweeney officiated.

the bride carried a cascade
bouquet of white carnations,
centered w i t h a wiiite orchid,
Her wedding dress had
a sabrina neckline trimmed
with seed pearls, and .t h e
long lace sleev e s formed
points over her wrists.
Her bouffant s k i r t was.
worn over a tiered petticoat.
A veil of imported French
silk illusion was caught by a
queen's crown of lace medallions
trimmed with pearls.

MISS PATRICIA GANDT
was maid of honor for her
sister. She selected a ballerina-
length dress of peau
de soie in a rust color, with
a b o u f f a n t skirt and an
apron effect overskirt. She
wore a queen's crown with a
circular v e i 1. of matching
color, and carried a bouquet
of w h i t e carnations with
streamers of aqua pompons.
The Misses Mary J a ne
Baker and Angela Sepielli,
as bridesmaids, wore frocks
s i m i l a r to the maid of
honor's, and c a r r i e d bouquets
of yellow and rust carnations
and pompons.

PAUL FITZGERALD was
best man. Ushers were Merle
Hansen and E d g a r Townsend.
For the afternoon reception
at the Plantation Restaurant,
the bride's mother
greeted guests wearing a lilac
chiffon dress over taffeta,
with beige accessories
a n d a corsage of orchids.
The mother of the bridegroom
selected a gown of
dusty pink with matching accessories
and an orchid corsage.

THE BRIDE'S traveling
costume was a fur-trimmed
tweed suit with red accessories
and an orchid corsage.
When they return from
their wedding trip to N e w
York City, the Deschamps will
make their home at 517
20th St.
