OLGA F. JAGOW

Olga F. Jagow, 94, a child care provider died Aug. 25, 2009, at Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes. Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with Ila McClenahan officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Olgaâs honor may be made to the Havre Park and Recreation/ Jagow Memorial, P.O. Box 231, Havre, MT 59501. Olga was born Dec. 7, 1914, in Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Karl and Karoline Nagel. She was raised and educated in Leader and graduated from high school. On Jan. 23, 1942, she married Herbert Jagow in Swift Current , Saskatchewan. The couple resided in Detroit, Mich., and moved to Havre, Mont., in 1948. Olga went to work for Deaconess Hospital in Havre, where she worked in daycare. Her love of children prompted her to open a daycare in her home which she operated until 1991. Olga was an avid gardener. She and Herb enjoyed camping together and traveling to see the country and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herb Jagow, Jan. 8, 2000; and her brothers, Edvin, Chris, Robert and Philip. Olga is survived by her three sisters-in-laws, Esther Nagel and Martha Nagel both of Leader, Saskatchewan Canada, and Gladys Nagel of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as hundreds of daycare children and their appreciative families.
