Co-Owner
Of Motel
Dies at 57
WHEATFIELD Mrs. Sophie
P. O'Conski, 57, of 3333
Niagara Falls Blvd., died today
(April 14, 1961) at Lafayette
Hospital, Buffalo. She was the
wife of John O'Conski.
Born in Buffalo, Mrs. O'Conski
had resided in North Ton-
awanda for 42 years, moving
to Wheatfield five years ago.
For 27 years, the O'Conskis
owned and operated the Cen-
tral Food Market In Robinson
Street, North Tonawanda. For
the last five years, they operated
the Cool-Crest Motel in
the boulevard.
Mrs. O'Conski was a member
of the Gwiazea Polek Society,
the DeGraff Memorial
Hospital Auxiliary and' the
auxiliary of the Knights of
Columbus.
In addition to her husband,
surviving are a son, Edward
P. O'Conski, North Tonawanda;
two daughters, Mrs. John
Jerauld, Town of Amherst,
and Mrs. Richard Luczywek,
North Tonawanda; two sisters,
Mrs. Peter Jehrio and Mrs.
Casimer Witkowski, both of
North Tonawanda; and seven
grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 9:30
a.m. Tuesday at the Skonski
Funeral Home, North Tona-
wanda, followed by Requiem
Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady
of Czestochowa Church. Bur-
ial will be in Mt. Olivet Ceme-
tery.
