Henry A. Franke, 55. of 2213 Linwood
avenue, died at Memorial hospital
late yesterday an hour after
being rushed there, when he was
stricken while at work at the Acheson
Graphite plant of the National
Carbon company.
Mr. Franke went to the plant
first aid section complaining of a pain
similar to a "heart burn" in his
chest His physician, who was called
to the plant, ordered him to the
hospital.
Dr. William F. Jacobs, pathologist,
who performed an autopsy on Mr<
Franke today, said that he apparently
died of a coronory thrombosis.
Mr. Franke, a supervisor at the
plant, had been employed there for
the last 29 years.
He is survived by two sons, John
E. L. and Glenford L Franke, this
city; two daughters, Mrs. LaVada
Yanush and Mrs. Muriel J. Byers,
this city; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah
Hook, Abadell, Okla., Mrs. Theckla
Strieker, Mrs. Helen Howell and
Mrs. Eleanor Phillipe, this city, and
a brother, William Wendl, this
city.
Funeral services will be conducted
by^the Rev. John E. W'i,ckenden,
rector of the Epiphany Episcopal
church, at 2 p. m. on Monday at
the Gridley Funeral home. His body
will lie in state at the funeral home
after noon tomorrow.
Burial will be in Memorial Park
cemetery.
