Grace B. Cracknell

NIAGARA FALLS — Grace B. Cracknell, died on August 19, 2011 in Northgate Manor following a brief illness. She was born in Bonds Lake, New York on May 24, 1923, the daughter of John and Bernice (Roberts) Stroh.
She graduated from Niagara Falls High School and worked at Bell Aircraft during World War II. Following Bell, she worked at American Autolite Corporation and retired from New York Power Authority in 1981. Mrs. Cracknell was a longtime volunteer for Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She enjoyed reading, knitting and traveling.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick A. Cracknell. Survivors include her son, David (Deborah) Kanipe of Sanborn; granddaughters, Heather Kanipe Divelbiss and Kristen M. Spellan (Gregory); and a great-grandson, John Declan Divelbiss.
There will be no prior visitation. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
