TOWN OF NIAGARA — Edwin W. Kasprzak, 70, of the Town of Niagara, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of the late Stanley and Genevieve (Jakubowski) Kasprzak.
Edwin was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army from November 29, 1963 until his honorable discharge on November 12, 1965. He was employed at DuPont Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls, NY and retired in 1999 after thirty years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Portage Post #1465 in Niagara Falls, NY. Edwin was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and boating.
Mr. Kasprzak is survived by one sister, Sally (Frank) Raisig of Ransomville, NY; one brother, Stanley (late Diane) Kasprzak of Niagara Falls, NY; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Carol (Frederick of Niagara Falls, NY) Watson; two nephews, Frederick Watson and Robert Raisig.
Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will begin on Saturday, March 19th at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent De Paul at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment with Military Honors in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
