County of Niagara. at the County Court
House. In the City ot Lockport, New York,
on the 19th day of March, 1943.
PRESENT: HON. RAYMOND A. KNOWLES,
County Judge.
In the Matter of the Application ot
STANSLAW SOUTKUS, for leave to as-
sume the name of STANLEY V. SANKES
On reading and filing the petition of
STANSLAW SOUTKUS.. duly Verified the
16th day of March. 1943, praying tor a
change of name of STANSLAW SOUTKUS,
It being requested that he be permitted
to assume the name of STANLEY V.
SANKES, in place and stead of his present
name, and the Court being satisfied
that there It no reasonable objection to
the change ot the name proposed;
NOW, on Motion of ADOLPH T. CECULA
attorney for the said petitioner it is
hereby _. .
ORDERED, that the said STANSLAW ,
SOLTKUS. be and he hereby is author-
ized to assume the name of STANLEY V.
SANKES in the place and stead of his present
name on the 20th day of April, 1943, upon
his complying with the provisions of
Article 6 of the Civil Rights Law, namely
that the petitioner causes this order an d
the papers upon which it was granted to
be filed in the office of the Clerk of Nia-
ara County, within ten days from the
date hereof, and that, within ten days
from the date of the entry of this orde,r
the petitioner causes a copy thereof to be
published in the Niagara Falls Gazette
and within forty days after the entry of
this order proof of such publication by
affidavit be filed and recorded in the Nia-
gara County Clerk's Office, and after such
requirements are complied with the said
petitioner shall on and after the 10th day
of April, 1943 be known as and by the
name of STANLEY V. SANKES, which he
is hereby authorized to assume, and by no
othr name.
