Four Generations Survive Aged Resident Here â Mrs. Marie A. Ziehl of North Side Dies at Age Eighty Leaving Sixty-Six Survivors.
Four daughters, five sons, forty-nine grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren were the progeny of Mrs. Maria A. Ziehl, eighty years old, who died last night at the home of her son, Gustav Ziehl, Lockport Avenue. Mrs. Ziehl was born in the town of Wheatfield and had lived in North Tonawanda and vicinity all her life. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. August Wurl and Mrs. Mary Goerss of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Minnie Hartwig of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Gottfried Fleisman (sic) of Buffalo; sons Gustav, John and Ferdinand of North Tonawanda, William Ziehl of Milwaukee and Charles Ziehl of Hartland, N.Y; the forty-nine grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Herman Castillion of Appleton, Wis. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the late residence and half an hour later at the St. Paul's Church, Rev. D. H. Steffens officiating.
