A very pretty wedding was sol-
emnlzed at Zlon Lutheran church
Saturday, June 8, when Miss Dorothy
Dickert, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Valentine Dickert, of Michigan
avenue, became the bride of Fred
Youngman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Youngman, of Willow avenue, this
city. The double ring ceremony was
performed by the Rev. Mr, Schmoyer.
Felix Hartwlg sang "Because" and "I
Love You Truly," assisted at the organ
by Mrs. Steigerwalt.
The bride entered the church on
the arm or her father to the strains
of Lohengrin's wedding mwch. She
was lovely In a gown of white mous-
seline de sole, with high neckline and
long train. Her long veil was cap
shaped with susters of orange blos-
soms on each side and chin strap.
She carried a large arm bouquet of
bridal roses tied with white tulle.
The maid of honor. Miss Caroline
Dickert, was gowned In pale green
organdy, floor length and wore a gTeen
hat, halo style and white slippers.
She carried an arm bouquet of yellow
ro&es "tied with tulle. The bridesmaids,,
Miss Verna Youngman and
Miss Martha Youngman, were dressed
alike In yellow organdy gowns.
floor length, yellow halo hat to
match and carried arm bouquets
of pink roses tied with tulle.
Milton Litchard attended the groom.
The ushers were Jerauld Vandervort
and Charles DlckerO Mrs. Dickert,
mother of the bride and Mrs. Youngman,
mother of the groom, wore
shoulder corsages of roses and sweet
peas.
The bride's gift to her attendants
were blrthstone finger rings and the
groom's gifts to his attendants were
leather zipper key cases.
Immediately following the ceremony
a dinner was served at the home of
the bride. Twelve were seated at
the bride's table, which was centered
with a large four-layer wedding cake.
Later In the evening a reception was
held at the home of the bride.
Mr. and Mrs. Youngman left Immediately
after the reception on a
short motor trip through Canada.
The bride wore a navy blue swagger
suit with white accessories.
Pre-nuptlal affairs included a
pantry Shower given by Miss Lillian
Janlak and Mrs. Irene Jones, a linen
shower by Mrs Bonnie Mann, a
kitchen and bedroom shower by Miss
Caroline Dickert and Miss Dorothy
Hiller, a towel shower by the Misses
Martha and Vera Youngman, a variety
shower by Mrs. Mabel Parks and
a variety shower by Mrs. Kermit
Abble.
