Last Rites Monday
For Leslie Dane,

Funeral s e r v i c e s for Leslie A.
Dane, 54, of 154 Seventy-seventh
street an appraiser for the U.S
Customs service here who died in
Memorial hospital yesterday after a
brief illness, will be held Monday
at 2 p> m. at the Lane Funeral
home. The Rev. Elton C. Schwingcr
will officiate at the services and interment
will be in Memorial Park
cemetery.
Mr. Dane, a World War 1 veteran,
has been a member of the customs
force here for 27 years. A native
of Coventry, Vt.. he-came'to> Niagara
Falls in 1921.
He was a past commander of La-
Salle Post, 1142, American Legion
and was active in the LaSalle Business
aod Professional Men's club. He
was an organizer of the LaSalle High
School Boosters' club and a member
of the LaSalle" Children's Field day
committee.
Surviving are his wife. Mrs. Ruth
Dane; two daughters, Chryl Dane
and Mrs. Donald Swick, both of this
city, and three sons, Roger Dane,
this city; Leslie Dane, Jr., Charleston,
S. C, and Richard Dane, Calexico,
Calif. Nine grandchildren also
survive.
