Robert Beattie, 65, of 1017
South Ave., died today (March
3, 1964) in Memorial Hospital
after a two-year illness.
A native of Scotland, Mr.
Beattie lived here since 1923.
He was a chemical operator
for 20 years at Hooker Chemical
Corp. before his illness.
Surviving are his wife,
Viola May Beattie; a son,
-Robert Beattie, and a daughter,
Grace Beattie, both of
Scotland; five stepsons, Alexander,
William and Richard
Tickett, this city, Edward
Tickett, El Paso, Tex., and
George Tickett, Mansfield,
Pa.; five stepdaughters, Mrs.
Robert (Ida) Homewood, Mrs.
Charles (Shirley) Asche and
Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Richards,
all of this city, Mrs. Robert
(Camella) Tanner, Scotdale,
Ariz., and Miss Alva Tickett,
Mercy, N.Y:; two sisters,.
Nellie and Agnes Beattie,
Scotland; 33 grandchildren
and a great-grandchild.
The service will be ' conducted
at 1 p.m. Thursday at
the Otto Redanz Funeral
Home by Rev. Paul Swank,
pastor of Zion Lutheran
Church. Burial will be In Memorial
Park Cemetery.
The family said that contributions;,
to the cancer fund
would be acceptable as tributes.
