SANBORN, N.Y. Aug 23 - The
marriage of Miss Marianna Wethy.
daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Roy
Wethy. of Sanborn, N.Y. and Mr
Edwin Klein, son of Mrs. Bertha
Klein, of North Tonawanda; was
solemnized by candlelight on Saturday.
August 18, at 7, p.m. in the
Sanborn Methodist church with the
Rev. Ernest Hammond officiating
at the double ring ceremony before
an' altar banked with gladioli and
fern. The musical background for
the service was furnished by Miss
Dorothy Johnson, who sang "Because,"
"Always." and "O, Promise
me." accompanied by Miss'.- Eva
Balcom at the piano.
The .bride, who entered . the
church on the arm of her father,
wore a gown of white chiffon
trimmed with Irish lace and ending
in' a long train; Her fingertip veil
fell from a tiara of pearls. She
carried a white Bible, a gift from
the groom, with an orchid and
long satin streamers tied with fern.
The matron of honor, Mrs. Helen
Mittelstaedt, sister of the bride,
wore; a yellow gown with taffeta
bodice and net over taffeta skirt;
Her headdress was made of flowers
matching a Colonial bouquet of yellow,
rosebuds, delphinium .and
gypsophlla tied with matching rib-
bon.
Miss Lois Wethyi sister of the
bride; Miss Carol Riggs. cousin of
the groom, and Mrs. Ruth Carpenter,
sister of the groom, as bridesmaids,
wore gowns and headdresses
of the same design as that of the
matron of honor, in soft shades of
pink, aqua and blue. Their colonial
bouquets were tied with matching
ribbons.
The Misses Mary. Lou and Sue
Ellen Mittelstaedt. nieces of the
bride, acted as flower girls. Their
gowns were,yellow, and blue taffeta;
with miniature colonial bouquets
matching, those of the bridesmaids.
Mr. Allen Klein, recently dls-.
charged from the U. S. Army, was
his brother's best man. Kenneth
Carpenter, petty officer, first class,
USNR, brother in law of the bridegroom;
Raymond Wollaber and
Duane Truesdell, cousins of the
bride, acted as ushers.
The mother of the bride was
gowned In black crepe with black
and white accessories. Her corsage
was of pink rosebuds.
The bridegroom's mother was also
gowned in black crepe with black
and white accessories, and corsage
of pink rosebuds.
Immediately after the ceremony
a, reception was held on the lawn
at the home of. the bride's parents
for 85 relatives and friends. The
bride's table was centered. with a
three-tiered wedding cake topped
with a miniature bride and groom.
For. traveling the bride wore a
brown flowered bemberg dress with
luggage brown accessories and her
orchid. After a short trip by boat
to Detroit, the couple will reside in
Sanborn.

by Mrs. Harriette Anderson, and
variety shower, by Miss Dorothy
Johnson, Mrs. Helen Marquart and
Mrs. Marian Betcher, at the home
of the former.
Out of town guests at the wedding
came from Buffalo, Niagara
Falls, Lockport, Ransomvllle, Sanborn,
North Carolina and Manila,
