NORTH TONAWANDA, Feb. 24
-St. Matthew's Evangelical Luth-
eran church was the scene of the
marriage of Miss Joan Carol Gom-
bert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. An-
drew W. Gombert, 716 Nash road,
and Mr. Wallace Leo Volk, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Volk, Beebe
road, Newfane. The Rev. Paul H.
Gassman officiated. Mrs. Norman
Garlanpow was soloist accompanied
by Mrs. George East at the organ.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father, wore a gownof
white bridal satin fashioned with a
fitted basque with illusion neckline.
She wore a single strand of pearls
and carried a cascade bouquet.
The maid of honor, Miss Ina
Gombert, sister of the bride chose
an aqua satin gown. Her cascade
bouquet was of pale yellow status
and budlea centered with pink
roses.
The flower girl, Miss Beth Gom-
bert, cousin of the bride, wore a
long gathered dress of pink taffeta.
Robert Phillips, acted as best
man. the ushers were Donald
Gombert, brother of the bride, and
James Davis.
The wedding dinner was served in
the church hall for 125 guests.
Out of town guests were present
from California, Texas, Pennsylva-
nia, Lockport, Niagara Falls, Ran-
somville, Sanborn and Buffalo.
Mr.. and Mrs. Volk left for a wed-
ding trip to Florida, New Orleans,
La., and other southern states.
They will reside at beebe road, RD
1, Newfane, after March 10.
