JOHNSTOWN - Investigation
of an airplane crash Saturday
morning in Johnstown, in which
two area men were killed, was
completed yesterday afternoon
by a federal aviation representative
from the Albany office.

According to the state police.
Jackson Nelson of Elmwood
avenue. Gloversville RD. the
pilot, and William C. Uebele of
Hoffmeister. Hamilton county,
a passenger, were killed when
the light private plane they
were in crashed approximately
one mile east of the Fulco airiport,
near Johnsown, at 10:30
a.m.- Saturday

Mr. Uebele, 33, was born Aug.
27, 1932, in Utica and spent most
of his life in Hoffmeister. In
1952, he was married to the Barbara
Caldwell Uebele in Poland.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Uebele was a foreman in
the maintenance section of the
state highway department in
Hamilton county.
Survivors, in addition to his
wife, are one son, William C.
Uebele, at home; two daughters.
Linn and Norma Uebele,
both at home; and his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Uebele.
The funeral will be held at
11 a.m. tomorrow at the Autenrith
and Sons funeral home in
Newport with Rev. Russell Little
of the Newport Methodist Church
officiating. Burial will be in
Prospect cemetery, Prospect.
