Urbsn-Pierce.
The marriage of Miss Mildred Pierce
and Mr. George Pennock Urban was
solemnised last evening at 7 o'clock at
the home of the bride's mother, Mrs.
Henry J. Pierce, in Summer street, in
the presence of the two Immediate families.
The ceremony was solemnized in
the long drawing-room before the fire-
place, whtoh was banked with palms
and white dahlias, and was performed
by the Reverend Dr. Regester. an old
friend of the family. To the music of
the Ball-Goold quartette, the bride,
wearing a gown of white satin and stl-
ver brocade with a tulle veil caught
with orange blossoms and carrying a
shower bouquet of gardenias and lilies
of the valley, entered with her mother,
who wore black lace over white satin.
Miss Violetta Pierce, who wore pink
charmeuse trimmed with white lace and
silver and carried a basket of pink
roses, was her sister's only attendant.
Dr. Charles W. Banta was Mr. Urban's
best man. Mrs. Urban, mother of the
bridegroom, wore a costume of white
lace over lavender silk. After the cere-
mony supper was served at small tables.
Among the guests were Mrs. Denis
Pierce of Penn Yan and Miss Mildred
Stewart of New York.
