Jean Arlington Bride of L. R.
Voelker. Middleport.
MIDDLEPORT-Miss Jean Elizabeth
Arlington, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. George Arlington, of Lockport,
and Leighton R. Voelker. son
of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Voelker.
of Main street, Middleport. were
united in marriage Saturday afternoon
at 5 o'clock in the Grace Episcopal
church.. Lockport. The Dr.
Henry F. Zwicker, performed the
ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a gown of sheer
marquisette with insets of alencon
lace forming the neckline and running
through the train. She wore a
Mary Queen of Scots cap and veil
and carried a colonial bouquet of
white roses, gypsophllla and sweetpeas.
Miss Virginia Doty. Loekport. was
maid of honor and bridesmaids were
Miss Eleanor Mullaney. of Lockport,
and Miss Jean Seaman, of Scottdale,
Pa. They wore dresses of silk
marquisette made Grecian style.
Miss Doty's was of blue. Miss Mullaney's
pink and Miss Seaman's yellow.
Their Juliet caps and veils
matched their dresses and they carried
colonial bouquets of mixed
flowers.
Hobart Snell, of Middleport. was
best man and ushers were Richard
Voelker, of Middleport. and Robert
Arlington, of Lockport. Scott Ford
played the wedding music.
Mrs. Arlington, mother of the
bride, wore a white silk Jersey dress
with floral design of brown and
gold. Her corsage was of yellow roses.
Mrs. Voelker wore a green printed
dress with redingote and matching
felt hat. She wore a corsage of
pink rose.
Church decorations were of white
gladioli and mixed bouquets. Garden
flowers of various colors decorated
the church parish house
where a reception was held to 100
guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Voelker left for a
wedding trip to Lake Placid and
the New England states, the bride
wearing a luggage brown traveling
suit of silk with dusty pink coat and
hat After August 16, they will make
their home In Vernon street, Mid-
dleport.
Out-of-town guests attended from
Middleport. Medina, Wilson, Olcott,
Niagara Falls, Buffalo and Pennsylvania.
