LOCKPORT - Herbert H. Wallace. 94. of 25 Adam
St., here, died today (Dec. 20, 1967) at Lockport Memorial
Hospital after a long illness.
A lifelong resident of this
city, he was born here March
17. 1873, the son of Robert J.
and Sarah E. Moulton Wallace.
Educated in Lockport schools,
he was a graduate of the
former Union School of Lockport.
A letter carrier in charge of
parcel post for 35 years, he re-
tired 29 years.ago.
Beginning during World War
II and continuing for a period
of eight years, he served as a
shipping clerk at the Aluminum
and Brass Co. Corp- of Lock-
port.
Mr. Wallace, an ardent fisher-
man, was a former member of
Lockport Lodge 73 F&AM.and
also was a former member.
secretary, past noble grand and
district deputy of the former
Cataract lodge IOOF, which
later m e r g e d with several
local lodges to form the United
Lodge 98, IOOF of Lockport. .
Surviving are a daughter.
Mrs. Ruth G. Keller of Niagara
Falls; two sons, Robert
L. and Donald H. Wallace, both
of Lockport; seven grandchildren,
nine great grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild:
two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wolf and
Mrs. Elizabeth Gath, both of
Kenmore and several nieces
and nephews.
Beginning this evening, friends
may call at Lange Funeral
Home where services will be
held Friday at 11 a.m.
Bunal will be in Cold Spring
Cemetery.
Memorials to the Health Research
Inc.. Roswell Park Memorial
Institute, Buffalo.- will
be acceptable as tributes.
