NIAGARA FALLS — Dolores I. (Focazio) Freeman, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at her residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Magdalen (Sporer) Focazio. Dolores was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools.
Dolores is survived by her six children, John J. Freeman of the Town of Porter, NY, James A. Freeman of Youngstown, NY, Diane M. (Peter) Stinis, Jr., Bruce J. Freeman, both of Niagara Falls, NY, Donna D. (Patrick) Longo of Melbourne, FL and Roger J. (Michele) Freeman of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son, Douglas Freeman, Sr.; also survived by seven grandchildren, Marc, Jordan, Sara and Jenna Stinis, Douglas Freeman, Jr., Brenna and Bria Freeman; one great-granddaughter, Sofia Stinis; one sister, Gertrude Fitzpatrick of Niagara Falls, NY; her cousin, Lois Kumm; her dear friends, Anne Despres and Norma Dick; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Paula Shivery, Joan Palmeri and Virginia Forster.
In honor of Dolores's wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 4th at 10 AM in St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY, with Rev. Michael Zuffoletto officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, 1023 Swann Road, Lewiston, NY 14092. Arrangements by M.J.
