LEWISTON - St. Peter's Church was
the setting for a double-ring marriage ceremony
for Miss Shirley Jean Johnston and
John Thomas Stofer with Rev. Edwin M.
Cuddihy officiating Saturday, (April 20,
1963).
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Gilbert Johnston, Ridge Road, and the
bridegroom is the son of Mrs. J o h n A.
Stofer, Kenmore. and the late Mr. Stofer.

GIVEN in marriage by her father, the
bride wore an ivory peau dc soie and Alencon
lace gown with s c o o p neckline and
dome skirt trimmed with Alencon lace appliques
with a chapel-length train.
She wore ft bouffant veil attached to a
Dior pill box a n d carried a bouquet of
Ivory cymbydiums surrounded by spray
of stephanotis and sprigs of ivy. .

Dousl Jr.. Syracuse, wore'a pink silk organza
floor-length gown with back panel
and matching picture hat.
The bridesmaids carrying bouquets of
green carnations were Mrs. Raymond Benson
and Miss S a l l y Ann Johnston, the
bride's sisters; a n d Miss Bonnie Baker,
Buffalo; Miss Suzanne K r e l l , and Miss
Laurel Hager, all In similar attire. Misses
Tina and Kyle Menlohettt were flower
girls.
Donald Evans, Auburn, was best man.
Ushers were John McPhcrson, Rochester;
Daniel Hens, Java; Knute Holmbcrg. Russell
Gugino, and Mark Conley, Buffalo.

THE BRIDES MOTHER wore a pure
silk linen dress with matching accessories
and a double while cymbydium trimmed
with silver.
The bridegroom's mother chose a blue
crepe dress with matching accessories.
Dinner and reception .were held at the
Buetia Vista. After ft wedding trip to Miami,
Fla., the couple will reside in Buffalo.
