Henry A. Wasmund,.. 68, of
2516 Jerauld Ave., a- resident of
this city for 44 years, died Monday
(Sept. 2, 1968) in Mount St.
Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Wasmund was stricken in
a friend's car while returning
from the Youngstown Field
Days and was taken to the hospital.
Born in Faulenrosh, Germany,
Mr. Wasmund came to
this city and was employed as
a chemical operator with the
DuPont Company's N i a g a ra
Works for 34 years until retiring
in 1966. Mr. Wasmund was
a member of the 25-Year Club
at Dupont, the LaSalle Sports
mens Club, Royal Order of
Moose No. 838 and St. P a ul
Lutheran Church.
Mr Wasmund is survived
by a daughter, Mrs. Clement
(Shirley) Tydings, Annapolis,
Md; two step-daughters, Mrs.
Carl (Martha) Voss, this city,
and Mrs. Philip (Hilda) Gar-
dipee, Miami, Fla.; three step-
sons, Carl and Harold Ortner,
this city, and Henry Ortner,
Fargo, ND.; three brothers,
Paul, Max and Ernest Was-
mund, all of this city, and six
grandchildren
Services will be held Thurs-
day at 1:30 p.m from St. Paul
Lutheran Church with Pastor
Theodore Mentor officiating
Burial will be in Memorial
Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Otto
Redanz Funeral Home today
from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednes-
day from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
