LOCKPORT-Percy O. (Jack) Whitman, 64, of
339 South St., died at Deaconess Hospital, Buffalo,
Thursday (March 18, 1967) after a short illness
Born in Cattaraugus Sept.
10, 1902, the son of Omer and
Minnie Wickham Whitman, he
had been a resident here for
the last 40 years. He had been
employed as a switchman for
the New York Telephone Co.
here for the last 38 years. He
was a member of the Telephone
Pioneers of America.
Survivors include his widow,
the former Lucy Roberts; a
son, James E. Whitman,
South ampton, L.I., and a
daughter, Mrs. Patricia A.
Harding, Luton; Bedfordshire,
England; his mother, Mrs.
Minnie Whitman, this dty; a
sister, Mrs. Daniel Ryder,
Springville, and a brother,
Lloyd Whitman, Charleston,
S.C.
Friends may call at the
Prudden and Kandt Funeral
Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Services will be conducted
at the funeral home at 1:30
p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in
Cold Springs Cemetery.
