TO WED AIRMAN Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Wasmund, Stephenson
Ave., announce the engagement
of their daughter, Shirley,
to Mr. Clement A. Tydings, airman
third class, son of Mr. W.
E. Tydings, Flagler Beach. Fla.
and Mrs. Ada Tydings, Annapolis,
Md., Mr. Tydings is stationed
at the Niagara Falls Municipal
Airport. A summer wedding
is planned.

A.3.C. Clement Tydings and
Mrs. Tydings will reside in Buffalo
Ave., when they return from
their wedding trip to Maryland.
The couple was united in marriage
at St. Paul's Evangelical
Lutheran Church, July 24, 1955.
The Rev. Evan J. Bartell officiated
at the double-ring ceremony
for the former Miss Shirley
Wasmund. daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Wasmund,
Highland Ave., and the son of
William Tydings, Daytona Beach,
Fla.. and Mrs. Ada Tydings.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a white
taffeta gown with fitted lace
bodice, bouffant skirt and lace
jacket. Her fingertip-length veil
of illusion was caught to a tiny
jeweled crown and she carried
a lace covered Bible centered
with roses and shattered carnations
and tied with white satin
streamers.
Miss Diana Voss, maid of
honor, was attired in a gown of
romance blue tulle over taffeta.
She wore a matching bandeau and
carried a colonial bouquet of
white carnations centered with
yellow roses and streamers.
Mrs. Leon Holland, bridesmaid,
was gowned in pink tulle
over taffeta. She wore a matching
headpiece and carried a colonial
bouquet of white carnations
centered with pink roses
and tied with streamers.
The bridegroom asked A.l.C.
Andrew Kisacky, Niagara Falls
Air Force Base, to be his best
man while the ushering duties
were performed by S/Sgt. John
Olson, Niagara Falls Air Force
Base.
William Woodman was the
organist.
A reception was held after the
ceremony at Lincoln Hall where
the mother of the bride received
her guests in a navy blue nylon
dress with white accessories while
the mother of the bridegroom appeared
in a mlon print dress
wirh white accessories. Each
mother wore a corsage of white
carnations.
The bride departed for her
wedding trip clad in a pink print
dress with white accessories and
a rose carnation corsage.
