LOCKPORT - Chester A.
Rankie, 76, of 667.Walnut St.,
died Saturday (Jan. 10, 1970)
at the Georgian Court Nursing
Home, Buffalo, where he had
been a patient for a month.
He had been ill for some
time.
A native of- the Town of
Lockport, he was born Nov.
18, 1893, and was the son of
F r e d e r i c k and. Anna
Hochadeil Rankie. A farmer
for most of his life on Locust
Avenue, he was l a t er
employed by the Harrison
Radiator Division of General
Motors Corp. for nine years,
retiring in 1963.
He is survived by his wife,
Alice M. Zachariah Rankie;
two sons Frederick A. and
Clyde A. Rankie; a daughter,
Mrs; Edwin (Berniece) Baldwin;
eight grandchildren and
o n e g r eat-granddaughter;
three sisters, Mrs, Floyd
Rockwood, Mrs. Ellis Van
Buren, and Mrs. Marcus
Schendle, and three-brothers,
Otto, Howard and Richard
Rankie, all of Lockport
Funeral services and burial, Ift
Dyslnger Cemetery, were this
afternoon.
