Mrs. Lloyd Able. 633 Twenty-seventh
street, the former Miss Isabel
Wendt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Wendt, of Twenty-seventh
street, who was recently married in
the Zion Lutheran church in Cayuga
drive.

A very pretty wedding took place
Saturday afternoon Aug. 28. in
Zion Lutheran church In the La
Salle section, when Miss lsabel
Wendt. only daughter of Mr and
Mrs Fred Wendt. of Twenty-seventh
street, became the bride of Lloyd
Able, son of Mr snd Mrs Henry
Abte. of South avenue, with the
Rev Mr Hover officiating.
The bride entered on the arm of
her father to the strains of Lohen
grin's Wedding March. Her dress
was of white satin, princess style,
with a short train The sleeves
were tightly fitted and pointed at
the wrist and a Queen Ann style
collar with tiny satin buttons was
cut down the back, to the waist
Her long bridal veil of Illusion was
shirred into cap shape and caught
at the sides with orange blossoms
The bride's maid of honor. Miss
Ethel Brown wore aquamarine net
with matching halo style hat and
carried Talisman roses The bride
gift to her attendant was a pearl
necklace
The bridegroom was attended by
his twin brother. Leslie Able. as
best mail The ushers were Elton
Ellman and Gustin Holland Each
received a collar and tie clasp set
from the groom.
Mrs. Edward ????? sang "Oh'
Perfect love" and "Faithfully"
Abide." assisted at the organ by
Miss Margaret ??? The church
was decorated with palms nnd gladloli.
Mrs Wendt mother of the bride
wore green crepe with brown accessories
and a shoulder corsage of
gardenias, Mrs. Able, mother of the
bridegroom, wore black lace with
matching accessories and a shoulder
corsage of gardenias.
A reception was held in the eve-
ning at the home of the bride. The
table was centered with a three-tier
wedding cake topped with a min-
iature bride and groom.
Mr. and Mrs. Able left for a trip
to the Thousand Islands, the bride
traveling in a green crepe dress
with brown accessories. On their
return they will reside at 633 Twne-
ty-seveht street.
Pre-nuptial parties for the bride
were a variety showed by Mrs. Gladys
Kresen, a personal shower by Miss
Ethel Brown, a linen shower by Mrs.
Kermit Able and Mrs. Henry Able
and a china shower by Mrs. Quester,
Ellman and Mrs. Holland.

at the Utters home, in Eighty-eighth
street, at a group shower given in
honor of their niece. Miss Isabel
Wendt, whose marriage to Lloyd Able
takes place on August 28at the Zion
Lutheran Church, Cayuga drive.
Guests present were Mrs. Mildred
Gundennan, of Buffalo, Mrs. Krruna
Zastrow, Mrs. Anne Zastrow, Mrs.
Helen Ellman. Mrs. Rueben Ellman,
Mrs. Edna Holland, of North Tona-
wanda, and Mrs. Katherine Pils, Mrs.
Lottie Wendt. Miss Isabel Wendt.
Mrs. Freida Quester. Miss Gertrude
Quester. Mrs. Oertrude Holland. Mrs
Anna Fess, Mrs. George Gardner,
Miss Ruth Holland, Miss Doris Hol-
land, Mrs. Evelyn Fose, Mrs. Hilda
Holland and Miss Edna Mlllvilie from
this city.
Bingo and cootie were played dur-
ing the evening, prizes being awarded
to Mrs. Gunderman, Mrs. A. Zastrow
and Mrs. K. Holland. The bride-elect
was presented with a beautiful 82-
plece dinner set and an automatic
electric toaster. At midnight a dainty
lunch was served.

was granted a divorce from Lloyd
Able, -1861 South avenue, in an Interlocutory
decree of Supreme court
Justice Raymond A. Knowles filed
yesterday In the county clerk's office
at Lockport. Infidelity was the
grounds. They were married here
August 28, 1937.
