- NIAGARA FALLS - Edna Laur Robins, 92, a dedicated foster grandparent for 29 years at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, died Thursday (Oct. 10, 2002) in Northgate Health Care Facility, Wheatfield, after a brief illness.
The former Edna Laur was born in Niagara Falls, attended local schools and lived her entire life here.
During the late 1930s, Mrs. Robins baked pies for local restaurants. She later worked for Wahl Printing as a binder for 25 years until retiring in the early 1970s.
She was a member of Lewiston Fire Company No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary, and a 50-year charter member of Colonial Village Presbyterian Church in Lewiston.
Her husband, Burdette E., died in 1971.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth N. Sr. and Ronald B., both of Niagara Falls; a sister, Louise Tickett of the Town of Niagara; a brother, Walter Laur of Niagara Falls; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Colonial Village Presbyterian Church, 4813 Kline Road, Lewiston. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
