CINCINNATI, Ohio -
Bellarmine Chapel on
the campus of Xavier
University, Cincinnati,
was the scene of the
wedding of Miss Joan
Winter and Thomas J.
Allen.
The Rev. Raymond Haun
officiated at the nuptials
Jan. 30, 1960, uniting the
daughter of Mrs. Edward V.
Winter, Cincinnati, and the
late Mr. Winter, and the
son of Harland G. Allen Sr
10th St., and the late Mrs.
Allen.

ESCORTED to the altar
by her brother, James E.
Winter, the bride wore a
cathedral-length gown of
bouquet taffeta with a bodice
of Alencon lace and
seed pearls.
The Alencon lace extended
past the waist in three
tiers to the middle of the
skirt.
A pillbox hat caught her
veil of illusion silk, and she
carried a bouquet .of white
gardenias centered with
pink camellias.

MISS PATRICIA Dewey
was maid of honor, while
Miss Mary Alice Jorling and
Mrs. Walter Hullemeyer
were bridesmaids. Each was
gowned in African - violet
velvet, styled with fan-pleated
lace over pleated tulle
sleeve flounces.
Each wore a matching
headband and carried a bouquet
of pink sweetheart
roses and pink camellias.

HARLAND G. Allen Jr.
was best man for his brother.
Guests were seated
by Richard Tavano and
John Costigan, brothers-inlaw
of the bridegroom,
James Leo and Steven
Rasso.
A wedding breakfast was
held after the Nuptial Mass
at the Hotel Alms.
The bride was graduated
from Our Lady of Cincinnati
College. A graduate
of Bishop Duffy High
School, Mr. Allen is a senior
at Xavier University.
