Mrs. Alfred W. Winter, 73, of 6606 Buffalo Ave., a
member of a pioneer family here, died at Mount St.
Mary's Hospital today (Feb. 17, 1966) after a one-month
illness.
She was the daughter of the late Valentine and
Jenny Neidtoart, who settled in Niagara Falls in the
1870s and operated the old Mayle Hotel in Third Street.
After operating the hotel
for several years, they opened
the Neidhart Restaurant, 12
Falls St., :which Mrs. Winter
ran for several years after her
parents' death.
Mrs. Winter was the widow
of Alfred W. Winter, who died
in 1961 after being an engineer
with the Niagara Falls
Fire Department for 38 years.
Mrs. Daniel W. Kline, this
city, a daughter, survives.
Funeral services will be
held Saturday at 9 a.m. at the
Lane Funeral Home and at St.
John de LaSalle Ohurch at
fl:30 a.m. Burial will be in
Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the
Lane Funeral Heme from 7 to
9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7
to 9 p.m. Friday.
