NEWFANE, April 19-William
Edwin Wiseman, one of Newfane's
older residents, died Saturday night
at Lockport City Hospital where he
had been a patient for two weeks.
Mr. Wiseman was born Feb. 20,
1877. at Pekin, son of the late
Charles and .Mary Brown Wiseman,
with whom he came to the Town of
Newfane 75 years ago.
He owned and operated a farm
in the Hatter road for the last 36
years. He specialized in turkey
raising. On Dec. 1, 1897, he was
married to Miss Marian Grechman.
He was a charter member of
Newfane Grange, a member of the
Farm Bureau for 35 years and a
member of the Newfane Methodist
Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived
by two daughters, Mrs, Arnold
Ferris, Lockport, Mrs. Reuel Mooney,
Kenmore: two granddaughters;
two sisters and three brothers, Mrs.
Thomas Devcreaux, Appleton: Mrs.
James Robinson, Burt; Eugene
Wiseman, Newfane; John Wiseman,
St. Petersburg, Fla., and Lee Wiseman,
Ionia, Mich.
Services will be held at the family
home, Hatter Rd., tomorrow at
2:30 p.m.. with the Rev. Robert
Ismay, pastor of the Methodist
Church, officiating. Burial will be
in Wright's.: Corners Cemetery
